Couch Culture 12: Test of Time

With this series, I was not interested in poses, I went to my subjects’ homes and took many snapshots, waiting patiently to be let in as they forgot I was there. It was more than gratifying when this couple of 25 years let down their guard and shared this affectionate moment of connection. Their true individual natures of ‘story-teller’ and ‘attentive listener’ were revealed in this shot. Other details, like stenciled wallpaper, running clothes, and pets offer the viewer subtle insight into other-wise private lives.
